We are in Moissac, the rain is clearing, swallows catching flies and an elderly man playing with a toy remote aeroplane nearby. Gillian and I went for a little bike ride by the river before returning to Lady Mary for Cafe de Paris sparkling wine. life is good! We re-united with Lady Mary in Buzet, the motor started first time and she was not too dirty, the main issue has been an invasion of ants. We have every kind of ant bait and murder weapon and I think we are winning – they were even in the fridge. We stocked up on Rose in Buzet and found a market on our way through Agen. We have eaten guinea fowl and chicken and have some rose trout for to-night. Asparagus, strawberries and stone fruit are prolific. Gillian and I have cycled every day and found rivers and boulangeries on our travels, we made the mistake of too many bargains this morning, we did not really need 5 croissants and 5 pastries for breakfast.
Smooth sailing through the locks apart from a faulty gate at Pointevic, the same problem as last year, fortunately the VNF guys seem to be out in force. Not too crowded, lots of dogs and lizards.
