Lady Mary is now out of the water at Adge. We hope she is being painted while we holiday in Italy with dan. The chandlers were very busy with a range of boats from huge yachts to tiny motor launches. Staying there the first night was a challenge, perched up high with machinery going on all sides and very primitive ablutions at the back of a dimly lit yard. After simon washed the boat we found dinner on the river and clambered up a rickety ladder to bed. We managed the round lock without problems but the water the other side was very shallow and we were relieved to get into the river.

We have loved staying in genoa and are now at a beautiful apartment on the Cinque Terra overlooking the tiny harbour. We had a slightly scary swim in the the stony bay with big waves and a strong undertow. It is sunny with a little breeze and we look forward to walking in the hills tomorrow.
