One of the last jobs before we can leave the yard. The window and windscreen are due to be replaced and Lady Mary will be a Queen!
At long last the painting is complete. Lady Mary looks so beautiful I think we will all be nervous of driving her. The anti fouling paint smelt truly foul. All that remains, is to paint the bits covered by the support props just before she goes in the water.
It is a miracle! We are back afloat, a wonderful feeling after all the time in the yard. We are going to take a little cruise out beyond the lighthouses and on to the Med before we head back towards the canal.
We have taken a side cruise up a pretty stretch of Herault river to a quaint village called Bessan. The river is writhing with water life and birds. It is very peaceful and fantastic to be on the move again after a night in Agde on the way to the round lock where had a bit too much of an adventure with a small cruiser who dropped their ropes and lost a bicycle overboard.
The first port in the Etang. Very pretty but parking was an extreme challenge. The highlight of our visit was a tour and tasting at Noilly Pratt vermouth preceded by a great brocantes.
