We have had a lovely week in the Camargue with Viv. We have seen flamingos, whites horses with their foals and little blcak bulls so we are all very happy. Viv caught a fish which we ate, not sure what sort it was.
Aigue Morte gave us great weather for the walk up the tower of Constance and round the ramparts which took about two and a half hours. Fortunately it was cloudy with a bit of drizzle, perfect!
We made a return visit to the wonderful cave Mas du Notaire in Gallician and had our wine delivered to the boat, we especially liked the viognier. That night there was a stupendous orage with both sheet and forked lightened, tremendous thunder and very heavy rain. It was calmer by morning but quite a windy trip to Palavas yesterday with another orage in the evening, fortunately after we were all tied up. We had to sit and drink rose in a little cafe until it had gone over, even the jousters took cover.
This morning we went and chose some fish for lunch, we think the storms must have put them off as not too much choice. beautiful little dourade were delicious on the bar b q with new potatoes and fennel. We have fresh figs, chevre and raspberries for later.
It is still a bit windy but we have only had to have one meal inside so far.
