On the water again after a long stay at Marseillan waiting for a new hose for the port motor. Visits to Noilly Prat essential. A little trip to Nice and Grasse with Robyn and Shaune was fun in spite of the challenging drive. Stayed at Domaine du Moulin  and highly recommend this beautiful, restful and very old accommodation.

We are now at Bouzigue after a night in Meze. On arrival I went to find the Capitaine who was so soundly asleep I had to lean through the window and pat him on the arm when my loud ‘bonjour’ didn’t wake him. I then went to the unisex toilets and helped an old lady who couldn’t see, she realised she was wearing her dark glasses, and sympathised with the gentleman who was complaining about the lumps of blue disinfectant in the urinals.

We have been blessed with timely markets, dancing, jousting and an amazing art exhibition in Sete when we took crew to station– I had forgotten how uplifting Max Ernst’s paintings are.

It was St. Pierre’s day yesterday so we watched all the boats go out with the band and listened to traditional music with rose in the evening. The wind is very strong, a hairy bike ride to Balaruc-les-Bains this morning, I thought I was going to be blown off, so we will stay here a few days before going out on the Etang again.

The swimming is sensational and food research going well. Lady Mary is in good shape with some new varnish and white paint as soon as the wind reduces.
